GOLD kabuki

Gold is the colour of the moment again.

I don't believe my work is being influenced by the metal gold but more my yearning for the gold moments late at night that is mostly created by artificial light.

I have always been fascinated by the rain on windows at night. And how the street light plays on the droplets making a beautiful hue.

I often work late at night and take time looking out the window when the world is empty.

The fact is that this is my time of reflection has run into my work. Gold is my colour of thinking and consideration. I find closure in the blanket of colour.
